A Voyage on the RMS St Helena Island

The RMS St Helena is unique as the only ocean going Royal Mail Ship in existence.

With the capacity to carry 128 passengers and 1600 tonnes of cargo its importance cannot be under estimated, as this ship alone provides the Island of St Helena with its only physical link to the outside world. For this reason the ship is seen as an extension of the Island and is held very dear to the hearts of all who travel on her.

This DVD looks at life aboard, for passengers and crew, during a voyage down the Atlantic. Frog racing, crossing the line, deck cricket, fancy dress, sumptious food... it's all on this momento of life at sea on the RMS.
