One hundred men travelled in 1949 from the South Atlantic Island of St Helena to work on farms in England. What happened when these British colonial subjects meet their counterparts in rural England is the subject of this film - shot in England, Canada and St Helena. The characters' reflections on this event, is a meditation on citizenship and identity, home and belonging.

Seven children of the one hundred men contemplate the pleasures and ambivalence of identity as they reflect upon what happens to the memory of St Helena in the born-in-Britain second generation.
